Dr. B. K. Bose:
Birth: 1879 Death: 1977

Studies:

• He got admitted into the Newyork Homœopathic College & Flower Hospital and later intered the University of michigan at Ann Arbor & was there for two years
• Then fortunately he was directed to Dr. James Tyler Kent,M.D. Who took him into the Hering Medical College and imparted knowledge of Homœopathy. Here he also had a brief acquaintance with sir John Weir of the Homoeopathic Hospital who was then an outgoing student.
• After this he took his admission into the Kansas city University, USA where he obtained M.D. Degree and then ruturn to india.

Dr. D. S. Prashad:

Dr. M. Jus:

Birth:
Mohinder Singh Jus was born in New Delhi in 1947 as the son of an artist.

Studies:
• He studied at the Calcutta Homœopathic Medical College and Hospital, from which he graduated in 1968 with the "Diploma of Medicine and Surgery".
• He studied and worked there under Dr. B. K. Bose, then the last living student of Dr. J. T. Kent.

Works and contributions:
• From 1969 to 1985, he had a private practice in New Delhi .
• In this time, he was also active as a lecturer and consultant doctor at various Homœopathic universities and hospitals.
• In 1985, he came to Switzerland with the objective of spreading the Homœopathic, which he had learnt from B. K. Bose. Soon he was not only a busy practitioner, but he also increasingly taught classical Homœopathic. Thanks to his vivid portrayals of the Materia Medica and the Homœopathic philosophy, he soon became a greatly appreciated teacher.
• In 1988, he founded the SHI Homœopathic Institute, the principal task of which was the organization of weekend courses in classica Homœopathic and to create general awareness about classical Homœopathic in the public.
• In 1993, he called the Dr. B. K. Bose Foundation and the SHI Homœopathic College to life.
• In addition, he regularly gives seminars for Homœopathic in various European countries.

Books:
He is the editor of the Homœopathic magazine "Similia" and the author of a number of publications and the following books:
• "Homöopathische Erste Hilfe"(first aid in Homœopathic)
• "Sport und Homöopathie"(sport and Homœopathic),
• "Kindertypen in der Homöopathie (Homœopathic children types),
• "Reise einer Krankheit" and "Praktische Materia medica".(this encyclopaedia has been published in german in 2003 in 3 vol.)


Dr. D. P. Rastogi:

He is one of the students of Dr.B.K. Bose(A student of Dr. J.T. Kent)

Contribution as a Teacher-

A. He has been teaching Homoeopathic Repertory and Materia Medica to Undergraduate and P.G. Students since 1975. He has been Principal of Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, New Delhi, Under Delhi University (1975-1984)

B. He has been appointed as Professor Emeritus at Homoeopathic Medical College, Beed(M.S.) Under Marathwada University (Aurangabad). He has been teaching Repertory in various post graduate colleges in the country and acting as Guide and Examiner in several universities.

C. He also established Boenninghausen Academy for Classical Homoeopathy in Gurgaon to promote teaching of Boenninghausen Repertories.

Dr. Mahendra Lal Sircar:
(1833-1904)

The Great homeopath of his time in India.
He devoted his life wholly to the propagation of the principles of homoeopathy.
The Calcutta journal of Medicine, edited by him, was started in Jan. 1868 for this purpose.

Dr. Mahendra Lal Sircar, C.I.E., M.D., D.L., was not only the greatest homoeopath of his time tin India, but also a great scientist. He was born on Nov. 2, 1833 in Paikpara, near Howrah. He appeared at the M.D. Examination in 1863 and came out first. He devoted his life wholly to the propagation of the principles of homoeopathy. The Calcutta journal of Medicine, edited by him, was started in Jan. 1868 for this purpose.
In the field of physical science, Dr. Sircar has made great contributions and was a pioneer of scientific research in India. He also inspired Dr. J. C. Bose and Dr. P. C. Ray. Recurrent malarial fever and bronchial asthma clouded the evening of his life and he died on Feb. 23, 1904.


Dr. Yudhvir Singh:
(1897-1983)

Dr. Yudhvir Singh, the veteran freedom fighter and homoeopath was born at Jaipur on 11th July 1897. He received education at Agra and Allahabad. He started Homoeopathic practice at the age of 23 and simultaneously joined the freedom movement as a member of Congress. Since then and almost for 60 years he occupied a Central figure not only in Delhi, but also at the International level in the field of Homoeopathy. In 1928 a homoeopathic charitable trust was started in his name which is now running 12 charitable homoeopathic dispensaries mainly located amidst the weaker sections of Delhi. Dr. Yudhvir Singh was the first Indian who became the president of the Municipal Committee where he removed corruption prevailing in the body and improved sanitation of the city and stopped the cow slaughter in Delhi.

In 1952 Dr. Yudhvir Singh was elected as a Member of the newly formed Legislative Assembly and became the Health and Labour Minister of Delhi. He improved the services of the hospitals and made special arrangements for the treatment of the poor. He brought the Delhi Homoeopathic Act in 1956. In 1964 a homoeopathic college at Delhi was started under his by the charitable trust, which was later on taken over by the Delhi Administration. The construction of the building was started on a two and half acres of land purchased from Government with a capital investment of Rs. Eleven Lakh. He was one of the founders of the Delhi Public Library and remained as President of the Governing body till his death. He was President of Delhi Nashabandi Samiti ,Chairman of the Delhi Branch of the Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh, President of Delhi Homoeopathic Board member of Central Council of Homoeopathy and President of the All- India Homoeopathic Medical Association, Chairman of the Reception Committee, International Homoeopathic Congress. He was a true Gandhian in his life and worked for the betterment of the people and was awarded Padma Bhushan in 1977 for his multifarious social activities. He wrote regular columns on Homoeopathy in leading newspapers. On 18th June 1983 he left for his heavenly abode. He lived for others and worked for Homoeopathy.
